Calgary takes series lead with Game 3 win

The Calgary Hitmen did all their damage in the second period scoring five times en-route to a 5-2 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings Tuesday night at Scotiabank Saddledome.

The victory gives the Hitmen a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Final.

Twelve different Hitmen had points with the goals coming from five different players; Greg Chase, Brady Brassart, Elliott Peterson, Calder Brooks and Victor Rask.

The scoring explosion in the middle frame chased Oil Kings starting goaltender Laurent Brossoit.

Trevor Cheek in the first period and Cutis Lazar in the third scored for Edmonton.
